Make Your Skirts Shorter – Tiwa Savage Encourages Ayra Starr
Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage has expressed her admiration for fellow artiste Ayra Starr, encouraging her to wear shorter skirts.
In a new interview with UK’s Kiss FM, Tiwa Savage said that she is “obsessed” with 21-year-old Ayra Starr.
“I love Ayra,” she said. “I’m obsessed with her. She’s amazing and genuine, too.”
She added that looking at Ayra Starr makes her remember the backlashes she received because she dressed sexy while coming up.
“It makes me emotional because when I started, I got criticized a lot for dressing too sexy and my lyrics being too risky.”
Addressing the criticism Ayra Starr has faced for her short skirts, Tiwa Savage said she wished Ayra could wear even shorter skirts.
“So, seeing someone, Ayra now… If I see her wearing the short skirts as they [critics] say, I’m like, ‘Make it shorter.’”
