“My Biggest Competition Is Kendrick And Cole” – Africa’s Most Awarded Rapper, Sarkodie Explodes In New Song “Brag”
Sarkodie, who is the most awarded African rapper in history, has bragged about his stardom in a new song he correctly titled “Brag.” The Ghanaian rapper literally brags on the record that Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole are his biggest competition.
On the song, released Friday, he name-drops the famous “Big 3” of African music (Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy), bragging about doing it long before these three made their names, and still doing it with new artists like Black Sherif and Asake on the radar.
The BET award-winning rapper, with “Brag,” attempts to let people know that he is “Big Him” and not on the level as he might have been placed. His biggest competition is not even an African rapper, he claims.
American rappers considered the greatest of their generation, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole are the rappers Sarkodie feels to be his biggest competition.
His lyrics on the song, which have been spreading like wild fire on social media, could drag out responses from other top African rappers. In short, Africa hip-hop fans should be ready for diss tracks. What a euphoria!
