Samklef Goes Emotional In Celebratory Post Of Wizkid’s “Superstar” Album
Popular Nigerian beat maker Samklef became emotional in his new post celebrating the 13th year anniversary of WizKid’s Superstar album, of which he was the main producer.
Two days ago, on its 13th year, WizKid’s “Superstar” album hit a new milestone and set a never-seen-before record for a Nigerian album.
The album skyrocketed on the Apple Music Nigeria chart for Top 100 Albums, entering the Top 5 and then the Top 3. It is the only Nigerian album released in the past decade to achieve such a milestone.
The main producer, who is responsible for most of the album’s hit tracks (“Don’t Dull,” “Pakurumo,” “Tease Me”), is Samklef.
Samklef took to X recently to celebrate the victorious album, and he shared a story he hadn’t told before publicly.
He said he was a homeless, struggling producer when he made tracks like “Tease Me” and “Don’t Dull” for Wizkid, but that he is grateful for where the album has brought him.
