Sometimes I Forgot He Isn’t My Real Boyfriend – Tiwa Savage Admits To Affection For “Water & Garri” Actor
Nigerian singer-movie producer Tiwa Savage admits to having strange affection for the lead actor in her “Water & Garri” movie.
In a new interview with BET, the multi-award-winning artist spoke about the ending, the love scenes, and whether she’ll be producing more films.
Speaking about her co-star, the lead actor who played her boyfriend, and the sexual scenes, Tiwa Savage admitted to feeling confused sometimes on set because of the actor.
She said she sometimes forgot she and the black complexioned actor were not actually dating.
She also revealed that her then real-boyfriend was on set with them. She said:
“I have a love interest in this movie and sometimes, if we’re like on set, I’d have to remember ‘that is not your boyfriend Tiwa’ [laughs]. You need to calm down. And then my real-life boyfriend at the time would come on set and I would be like ‘what is he doing here?’ [laughs]. We’re not together anymore though, so he can hear this.
“The first day on set I had my kissing scene. I’m glad it was my first day because I just went right into it. I remember in my dressing room, I brushed my teeth like five, six times because I was like I need to represent. But, he was very lovely. All of the cast was. They were really really nice.”
When asked if she’ll be producing more movies following “Water and Garri,” her reply was:
“Listen, I’ve told everyone, film cheques are good. So, I’ve got like ten scripts in my head. I have other stories I’m working on.”
