The 2024 Headies Award Set To Hold In Nigeria
The most prestigious music awards in Nigeria, The Headies has announced the award is coming back home in the year 2024.
The 2022 and 2023 Headies Awards were successfully held in the United States; this year, the event is scheduled to return to Nigeria. The desire to return the award event to its origin nation has led to several debates among Nigerians and the organizers of the prestigious award have decided the award to return to Nigeria; where it all started.
In order to honour exceptional accomplishments in the Nigerian music industry, Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria founded The Headies, a music awards event, in 2006. It is an award for renowned and up-and-coming musicians.
Announcing on their official social media page, the Headies said:
This year: 2024, we are bringing the world back home: To the place that birthed the sound that has led everbody to the dancefloor, that has launched viral videos, that has put our continent right at the centre of global pop culture. The Headies is coming back home
