5 Things We Learned From Nigeria’s Victory Over Angola

The Super Eagles of Nigeria won against the Black Antelopes of Angola in the 2024 AFCON and this is the 5 things we learned from the game.

1. Best Attack Starts From The Defense:

The super eagles back 5 players have been nothing short of a wall. 1 goal conceded in 5 games so far in the 2024 AFCON feels so surreal. Troost Ekong, Ola Aina, Ajayi and Calvin Bassey and Zaidu have been doing the work of leading from the back. The unbreakable defense in which coach Peseiro has coordinated seems to be the highlight of this tournament for the Super Eagles.

2. Lookman Is Coming On Very Clutch:

3 goals in the last 2 games, Ademola Lookman is coming on very clutch for the Super Eagles. When you look at the goals he’s scored, you can’t but want to liken him to Miroslav Klose or Thomas Muller of the Germany national team. These two players, one who is now retired always get a goal.

3. Victor Osimhen is ‘HIM’

Although he has been unlucky not to have added to his tally of 1 goal in this tournament, Victor Osimhen has been a terror to the opponents defenders. Even against Cameroon, Osimhen’s energy was so infectious, he had to be taken for a drug test.
