50 Year Old Farmer Rapes 3 Year Old Girl In Oyo State

Baba Kabiru, as he is popularly known, is a 50 year old farmer from Oyo State been accused of raping a 3 year.

It was gathered that the sad incident took place on the 10th of June, 2020, at the Ayetoro area of Igbeti community of Oyo state.

Indigenes of the community said the victim was playing with other children in the vicinity where the suspect lured her with a biscuit.

It was not until her mother raised alarm and neighbors began searching for her they realised the followed the suspect.

 

Mrs Aroye Adewuni, the victim’s mother, was said to have seed the suspect adjusting his trouser while exiting from the toilet where the victim followed him behind.

She questioned the suspect regarding what happened to her daughter. She got an unsatisfying response and so decided to check the private parts of her daughter where she discovered some stains.

The suspect confessed and blamed the devil fr his crimes.

 

Explaining her ordeal to the press, The victim’s mum, Mrs Aroye said, “I was cleaning the house on the day of the incident, while my daughter was playing inside the compound. The man came to lure her with a packet of biscuits and when I came out to look for her, the other children said the man had taken her away and I started looking for her.

“I went to the man’s house with other people, who helped to search for her, but I didn’t see them there and I started screaming and suddenly, we saw the man coming out from the back of the toilet and adjusting his trousers.

 

“I saw that my daughter’s body was dirty and I asked him what he did to her, but he didn’t answer me at first and residents said I should check my daughter well and when I checked her private parts, I saw stains and when I queried the man again on what he did to my daughter, he said it was the devil’s work.”

The issue was later reported to the Igbeti Police Station. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olugbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident saying the matter has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department.

“It’s a rape matter and the DPO has been ordered to transfer it to the SCID, where the matter will be further investigated, which he has done,” Fadeyi stated.
