Afrobeat Is Made Up To Keep Us In A Box – Wizkid Lectures Nigerians
Singer, Wizkid has explained his post about not being an Afrobeat artiste.
Following the dragging, Wizkid in a post has revealed that Afrobeat is made up to keep artiste in a box. Talking about his widely acclaimed album Made In Lagos, Wizkid maintained that the album is not an Afrobeat album, rather, it is fusion as it is the coming together of different sounds – a real music.
Wizkid further reveals that he is first of all an artiste before any other thing – Afrobeat or any other genre of music, therefore the attempt to box him into whatever anyone thinks will not work. Check post below:
