Davido Announces Retirement From Music

Afrobeats megastar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced that he is retiring from music as soon as his next album drops.

He made this known Thursday evening via a story on his official Instagram page. Davido, who, as of recent, has been in “war” with Wizkid, said his retirement from music would give his rivals peace.

Wizkid re-ignited the on-and-off beef between him and Davido two weeks earlier, when he posted the meme of a crying Davido on his knees as a reply to one of his fans who asked him for new music.

He didn’t stop there; he continued to throw shades at Davido, and he even threw one at Don Jazzy (called him an influencer). Hours after, Davido came online and the verbal war fully lit up X.

Now, Davido appeared to have made up his mind to leave music, but until after his next album. On his story he wrote, “Yall niggas really want me out the game that bad?? Oya after next album I no do again. So una fit get peace.”
