Nigerians Don Wise – Peruzzi Mocks Wizkid Over New Snippet

Afrobeats singer-songwriter Peruzzi has joined critics bashing the new snippet of Wizkid.

In the wee hours of Sunday (May 12), when most people were asleep, Peruzzi found a reason to put sleep on hold: Wizkid’s new snippet.

Wizkid received a lot of negative reviews on his new snippet, posted as a short clip with him listening to his verse on an upcoming feature. An X critic with the name Otunba went viral for his post asking the Grammy winner to retire.

Peruzzi, who has a beef with Wizkid going on, mocked the snippet too on his X handle, noting that Nigerian listeners are now different and won’t accept mediocrity.

“Nigerians don wise,” read Peruzzi’s post. “If you sing rubbish, Dem go clear you. Ordinary snippet, Dem go don dey warn you.”

Things became estranged between Peruzzi and Wizkid after the latter called the former a “pant washer songwriter” while he was throwing shots at Davido on X two weeks ago. In response, Peruzzi, who writes songs for Davido, dared Wizkid to call him pant washer it to his face.
