What I Want Instead Of Grammy Award – Whitemoney

Whitemoney Grammy award

The winner of BBNaija Season 6, Whitemoney, who promised his fans a few years ago to win a Grammy award, has changed his mind, wants something else instead.

The chef cum artist, whose real name is Hazel Oyeze Onou, in an interview with popular content creator Egungun claims he no longer cares about a Grammy award after what they did to Nigerian artists at the last edition.

At the last Grammys, it will be recalled, Nigerian artists lost all nominations, including the newly established only-Africa category, Best African Performance, which was won by 21-year-old South African popstar Tyla.

Whitemoney says he feels the Grammys are using Nigerian artists and that he is now only interested in winning any awards that keep him relevant–such as Headies–and is no longer pursuing a Grammy award.

He said, “The way things are going now, Grammy don cast. Make we manage Headies. I’m not sure if I’m still pursuing my desire of winning Grammys. Now I’m pursuing any award that keeps my relevance.

“Because after what Grammy organisers did to our superstars, Davido and Burna Boy at the last award ceremony, it’s now looking like they are using Nigeria for publicity stunt.

“But never say never. My style of music is unique. If it takes me to the Grammys, no wahala.”
